Suhayl

In Islamic tradition, Suhayl is associated with the concept of Hidaya (guidance) mentioned in the Quran.

In Islamic culture, the name Suhayl is considered to be of Arabic origin and means "big mountain," but it is also connected to the bright star, Canopus, which is one of the dwelling places of one of the seventy thousand Angels of Allah. This celestial body is believed to guide lost sailors and travelers in the desert. Additionally, the mention of Suhayl is found in the hadiths, where Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) spoke about the arrival of the Antichrist and the signs that will precede his coming. According to these hadiths, the arrival of the Antichrist will be preceded by the emergence of many false Masihs and Messiahs. One of them will be called Dabbat Suhayl, meaning the foal of Suhayl, and it will appear from the direction of Syria. This shows the importance of Suhayl in Islamic history and culture.
