Shahrzadah

A reminder to keep the darkness of uncertainty illuminated with the light of knowledge and wisdom

The name Shahrzadah, a Persian derivative of the Arabic words "Shahrarz" (night) and "Zadah" (keeper), holds a rich cultural heritage in Middle Eastern literature and folklore. It is most famously associated with the captivating and mesmerizing ancient tale of "One Thousand and One Nights," or "Arabian Nights," in which the heroine, Scheherazade, brilliantly uses her storytelling abilities to save herself and countless others from the wrath of a vengeful king. By entrancing the king each night with a new story, she successfully postpones his desire to take a new wife each morning and execute her. This broad narrative has forever evoked a sense of awe, wonder, and excitement within people.
