Shahriar

The name "Shahriar" carries a rich cultural significance in Islamic history. The legendary character Shahriar is possibly the most recognized figure associated with this name, known as the "King of Kings", the "Ruler of Rulers", or simply "Shah" for short. In the Islamic folklore, Shahriar is famously depicted as an excessive lover, whose love for women led him to marry a thousand new virgin brides every night, and execute them the following day to prevent their infidelity. This tragic and dramatic act spoke volumes about his perceived insatiable desires, arrogance, power, and fear of pain, love losses, and betrayals. Shahriar is also known for being the monarch behind the mysterious "The Seven Sleepers of Ephesus," a group of young men who went into a deep sleep for a century, awakening to find their homeland drastically changed.
