The name "Qalandar" holds a rich cultural history within the Sufi tradition, which originated in the Islamic world around the 11th century. The term "Qalandar" was used to refer to a wandering dervish or a mendicant Sufi, who dedicated their life to the pursuit of spiritual enlightenment through travel, ascetic practices, and self-discipline.
