Musadan
Seeking help
Pronunciation: A-lee (/ˈʔaːliː/)
What does Musadan mean?
Musadan is derived from the Arabic root 's-d-n', which means to ask or seek help. In the Quran, Allah (SWT) says, "And [mention] when Ibrahim said, 'My Lord, show me how You give life to the dead.' [Allah] said, 'Have you not believed in Me [despite all the proofs]? But [instead] I will guide you with your Lord's permission. And you will be among those who succeed.' So when the sabbiḥāt [preparatory rites] had fulfilled their determined term, We revived you with a reviving death. Then [We said], 'O Musa, indeed We have appointed you a messenger to Pharaoh. So take, between you and him, his people, Khaḍījah, Hārūn, and their father 'Abd al-Muttalīb. But [O Musa], you are not to take for yourself any supporter nor helper.'
