Mu'Adha

The name Mu'Adha is also linked to the concept of 'mudhah' which means 'to accompany' or 'to be with'. This name is considered spiritual as it represents the bond of friendship and companionship.

In Islamic history, Lady Mu'adha bint Amr ibn Al-As was an exemplary woman who displayed unwavering courage and loyalty during the Battle of Uhud. Together with her four sons, she guarded the Muslim army's rear to prevent the enemy from sneaking up behind them and showered them with arrows. Eight of her sons were martyred during the battle, and Lady Mu'adha herself was taken captive but later managed to escape and join the Muslims again. Her name became known as a symbol of sacrifice, loyalty, and determination in the face of adversity, and it serves as a reminder of the essential role that companionship, support, and unity can play in times of struggle and hardship.
