Mashriqi

The term Mashriqi holds significant cultural relevance in Islamic history, particularly for various Sufi orders, as many of them originated from regions in the east, such as the Indo-Pakistan subcontinent and Central Asia. These Sufi brotherhoods, or tariqas, sought to promote spiritual Sufism and syncretism, often blending elements of local folk religions, traditions, and practices with Islamic teachings and rituals.
