Mamlakat

Symbol of authority, leadership, and sovereignty.

The term "Mamlakat" in Arabic denotes "one who rules," "one who governs," or "one who manages the affairs of a state or territory." Historically, it was used to describe the autonomous territories ruled by the Mamluk forces in Egypt and Syria during the medieval period. These Mamluks were originally enslaved Turkish or Circassian limbs brought to Egypt as military slaves, who later rose to power and ruled over the Islamic lands. The term "Mamlakat" represents the economic, political, and social influence of these warriors on Islamic civilization during that era. It instilled a sense of pride, independence, and recognition of their military prowess and strategic skills.
