Darmiyaht

Nurturer of the soul

The name "Darmiyaht" is derived from the Arabic word "dār" which means "house" or "garden", and "miyaht" which means "cultivator" or "gardener". This name holds significant cultural value in Islamic societies, as gardening and farming are deeply rooted in the Islamic tradition. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) engaged in agriculture during his life and encouraged Muslims to till the soil and cultivate the land (Bukhari and Muslim). The cultivation of gardens is not only a practical means of providing sustenance, but it is also a way of beautifying the environment and nurturing the natural world, which is viewed as a sign of the Creator's boundless mercy and abundance. The cultivation of gardens, therefore, is a physical manifestation of the Islamic concept of stewardship over the earth and its resources, and the name "Darmiyaht" embodies this Cultural significance.
