The name "Sanjeevi" holds significant cultural importance in Hindu mythology. It is derived from the Sanskrit word "Sanjeevani," which means "restorer of life" or "healer." In Hindu epic, the Mahabharata, there is a mention of a mountain named Sanjeevani Parvat or Sanjeevani Hill. According to legend, the mountain has the power to revive beings and cure their ailments. Lord Dhanvantari, the divine physician and an incarnation of Vishnu, is believed to have originated from the ocean of milk (Samudra Manthan) and brought the elixir of life or Amrit on the Sanjeevani Mountain.
